DSI’s ground-breaking new system is a highly efficient, linear amplifier for very high power applications with a small footprint suitable for radar and communications applications.

The THEIA RF phase response is ideal for phased arrays where large numbers of individual elements are required.  It employs advanced aerospace materials and device technologies that permit optimum configuration with minimum space, lower weight, high efficiency, excellent linearity and better thermal characteristics than any other existing product.  Efficiencies are typically as high as 50% (AC to RF) across the range of frequencies.

The THEIA series have excellent matching and protection, a mechanical housing that provides for one man operation, eases of installation on airborne platforms, and linearity suitable for both conventional waveforms as well as advanced digital waveforms.

Remote Sensing under ice

SAR sensing using aircraft mounted radars flying 1,500′ above the ice can see nearly 10,000′ below the ice using special radar processing techniques.  The cross section through the ice during one flight has shown the unexpected existence of a lake well below the ice of Antarctica.  Organic contamination indicates the previous existence of plant life at these latitudes (with rolling hills and lakes).  This represents a substantial change in the temperature of the region from one which would support life
